Electric power transport

The vocational school module in electric power transport is tailored to meet the demand from the Norwegian energy sector, which has a growing need for expertise in transporting electric power over long distances.

Information

The vocational school module will provide a general introduction to administrative processes associated with the construction of transmission lines/cables at national level, typically 420kV and regional level, typically 132kV, 110kv and 66kV.

The module will provide an understanding of general calculations of voltage drop and power loss. You will also gain knowledge of administrative processes related to licence applications, investigations, the environment and the sustainability perspective in electric power transport, as well as components and modes of operation in the high-voltage network.

NB! Admission will be on a rolling basis until the start date or until the class is full.

Examination

The final assessment consists of a compulsory module exam. The form of the exam is stated in the individual programme plan.
