Information

Chronic diseases in adults and the elderly are on the rise, and this patient group often requires complex services. It is therefore necessary for the labour market to have access to skilled professionals who can meet the challenges of this patient group. In this programme, the healthcare professional’s expertise is further strengthened and interdisciplinary collaboration will provide the best possible quality in the nursing and care services.

The vocational school gives you in-depth knowledge of the major chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, COPD, diabetes, kidney failure, etc. To help us understand this patient group better, we often include patient groups, interest organisations and relatives in our teaching.

You can complete your internship at your own workplace. This is a free evening vocational school, which is completed over two years while you are in work.

The programme can be offered in the following counties:
Rogaland, Vestland and Agder.

Organisation of training

– The programme can be carried out as a location-based, online with sessions or online part-time programme. Select the desired location for the programme to see how it is planned to be carried out in your area.
– Completion of the programme results in 60 credits and the title “Fagskolegrad”

The programme is suitable for healthcare professionals, nursing assistants, care workers, activators, child and youth workers or others with a basic education in health and childcare.

Examination

Each course ends with an exam. The type of exam is stated in the individual programme plan.
