The vocational school programme Clinical assessment skills will give students increased competence in observation, assessment and action skills. Furthermore, the student will develop and further develop a clinical perspective in order to make holistic assessments and implement measures. Important topics will be clinical assessment skills, early detection of functional failure and deteriorating health status, chronic diseases, dementia care and mental health and somatic diseases.

The programme is practice-oriented and study requirements that deal with field observation can be completed at your own workplace.

This is a free vocational school during the day or evening, which is completed over 2 years and can be combined with work.

The programme can be offered in the following counties:
Rogaland, Vestland and Agder.

Organisation of the training

– The programme can be carried out as a location-based, online with sessions or online part-time programme. Select the desired location for the programme to see how it is planned to be carried out in your area.
– Completion of the programme results in 60 credits and the title “Fagskolegrad”

Equipment

Students must cover their own costs for tuition fees, literature and consumables. Invoices for consumables will be issued by the school and will have a face value of NOK 2,000. This amount covers the equipment used for practical training throughout the entire programme.

The programme is suitable for health care professionals, ambulance workers, care workers and assistant nurses. The programme may also be relevant for those who have authorisation as a nurse or social worker.

Examination

Each course ends with an exam. The type of exam is stated in the individual programme plan.
