The programme trains people with intellectual disabilities, autism and other groups that are vulnerable to developing challenging behaviour. The programme is based on a proprietary method for dealing with challenging behaviour among both adults and children.

Information

The Professional School Positive Behaviour Support (PAS) in the Face of Challenging Behaviour is aimed at professionals who work with people with intellectual disabilities, autism and other disabilities. These groups are vulnerable to developing challenging behaviour. The training is based on a specific method for dealing with challenging behaviour among both adults and children. The aim of the training is to ensure a good quality of life for service recipients and their families by preventing and changing some of the conditions that contribute to unwanted behaviour.

The programme is well-suited as a supplement to several of our other vocational school programmes, such as “Environmental work aimed at people with disabilities/developmental disabilities”.

The programme can be offered in the following counties:
Rogaland, Vestland and Agder.

Organisation of the training

– The programme can be carried out as a location-based, online with sessions or online part-time programme. Select the desired location for the programme to see how it is planned in your area.
– Completed programme gives 30 credits

The programme is suitable for

Health professionals, child and youth workers, nursing assistants, care workers and activators

The programme is aimed at employees with different academic backgrounds in health and childcare from upper secondary education, who work in municipal activities, specialist health services, institutions and educational activities.

Examination

Each course ends with an exam. The type of exam is stated in the individual programme plan.
