The vocational school programme Safe handling of challenging situations in the health and care sector will give students increased knowledge and competence to prevent and handle demanding situations in everyday working life.
Information
There are reports of an increasing incidence of challenging behaviour, threats and incidents of violence in the healthcare sector, and the safe handling of challenging situations requires special expertise. The vocational school programme Safe Handling of Challenging Situations in the Health and Care Sector will provide students with increased knowledge and competence to prevent and handle such demanding situations in their everyday work.
Important areas in the programme will be prevention, handling and guidance in connection with challenging situations.
This is a free evening vocational school, which is completed over one year and can be combined with work.
The programme can be offered in the following counties:
Rogaland, Vestland and Agder.

– The programme can be carried out as a location-based, online with sessions or online part-time programme. Select the desired location for the programme to see how it is planned to be carried out in your area.
– In total, the vocational school programme provides 30 credits.

The programme is suitable for healthcare professionals, nursing assistants, care workers, porters, ambulance workers and health secretaries.
Examination
Each course ends with an exam. The type of exam is stated in the individual programme plan.
