Professional training module in project and facility management for the recycling industry

Our new vocational training module, “Project and facility management for the recycling industry”, has been developed to meet the growing need for project management expertise in this industry. This programme is tailored to provide employees in the industry with practical and relevant knowledge that is essential for handling complex projects and tasks in an increasingly demanding working day.

Growing need for project and facility management

The recycling industry is facing major challenges related to rationalisation and restructuring. Our partners from the recycling industry have confirmed a significant training need for their employees in project and facility management. The aim of this programme is to strengthen the practical skills of employees so that they can take on new roles as project managers or site managers in their own companies.

Project and facility management – 5 credits

The vocational school module “Project and Construction Management” awards students 5 credits as well as valuable professional expertise. Through the module, students will learn about project organisation, financial management, contract understanding and how to execute projects in line with industry requirements. The programme will include a combination of digital teaching, experience sharing, guidance and problem solving. All teaching will be recorded and made available on our learning platform, giving students the opportunity to repeat and reinforce their learning.

Expected results

After completing the module, students will have achieved expertise in:

– Organisation and implementation of projects in the recycling industry

– Application of management tools for quality and finance

– Management of project teams and collaboration with subcontractors

– Managing uncertainty and stakeholders in projects

– Adapting project management in light of sustainability and digitalisation

Students will be well equipped to take on more responsibility and new roles in their organisations, which will contribute to increased value creation and innovation.

Who is the programme for?

The module is specially adapted to employees in the recycling industry who want to strengthen their project management skills. This applies to skilled workers, team leaders, operational project managers and others who want to take on greater responsibility in their roles. The programme is also relevant for people with a vocational or journeyman’s certificate or general study skills, as well as for those with relevant experience who want to further develop their skills.

Hands-on collaboration and continuous development

The module is developed in close co-operation with representatives from the recycling industry. This group ensures that the module meets the specific expertise needs of the industry and that the content is updated.
